Durable containers and lids. They work. I avoid the microwave debate with plastics etc. because I find that microwaved leftover food (and just microwaving food in general) tastes lousy anyway.I'll just re-heat in a non stick pan or the oven.
I use these just for storing in the fridge for up to five days, and that's it. Tomato-based dishes or ones with lots of tumeric or other staining spices get stored in ceramic or glass bowls.
These containers work great for me with within my usage habits.

I got a good price. I am using several of the containers. the four smallest containers are entirely too small to really hold anything and I was disappointed with them. I am still a fan of Rubbermaid!!
Great for the Fridge or Transporting Food but beware of Microwave Use!!! Mar 24, 2010
I am very happy with the fit and finish of these containers. They work great for storing leftovers in the fridge and for taking food to work/school. However, I reheated some chicken chili in one of them without the lid using a microwave and after washing I noticed that where top of the chili reached that the plastic was etched. Almost like pitting. Visible enough that my grand mother noticed it and you could feel it by touch. It was literally the first time I microwaved one of the containers. FYI it was less than 3 minutes in an 1100 watt GE microwave oven.
So if you're using these just for storing food, they're excellent. HOWEVER, if you want to reheat that food, beware. You should switch to glassware like pyrex or stoneware.

This is a nice basic set of sturdy, well-sealing containers. The fact that the lids clip together means no more searching for the elusive lid (a common problem in my home). Well worth the price.

This set is perfect, some complain about more lids than needed. However, what happens if one gets melted in the dishwasher? Well at least you don't have to throw the whole thing away because you have extra lids. Great set, I have 2 of them and would like to get another.
